Core Education Transfer Credit

For students admitted Summer 2025 and later.

Students admitted Spring 2025 and earlier can visit Bacc Core Transfer Credit.

Oregon State University is committed to transfer student success and pathways.  As we have in the past, we continue to recognize and honor coursework completed at regionally accredited institutions.  The information below is relevant for prospective transfer students and current OSU students interested in completing coursework for their Core Education at an institution outside of OSU.

The links below should assist you in determining how your previous credits will intersect with OSU's Core Education. If you are completing our Bacc Core curriculum, please refer to Bacc Core Transfer Credit for relevant information.  If you have additional questions, do not hesitate to ask your advisor or a member of the OSU Transfer Admissions team for further assistance.

Oregon State delivers Core Education through
the Foundational Core and Signature Core.

The Foundational Core is based on the
Oregon Core Transfer Map (CTM)

Prospective transfer students interested in learning how their courses may satisfy Core Ed categories

If you complete one of the Associate's degrees or relevant Oregon transfer programs listed, the table below explains how your degree or program may complete Core Education requirements.  Please refer to the Core Education crosswalk to see how the OSU categories align with statewide transfer degrees (AAOT, ASOT) or the Oregon Core Transfer Map (CTM).

For courses completed outside of Oregon and Hawaii community colleges, please refer to the Single Course Search Tool.  The MyDegrees Transfer Equivalency Self- Service tool can support your understanding of how transfer credits may complete degree requirements.

If you are considering taking Core Education courses at a community college in Oregon or Hawaii, opt into the Degree Partnership Program (DPP). DPP allows you to enroll concurrently at both Oregon State and partner community colleges.
